Warorot Market is the biggest local fresh market in the town of Chiang Mai. For local people, they call this market " Kad Luang " which means a big market  ( Kad means market, Luang means very big ). The market was built firstly about 100 years ago. It is located about 1 km. eastern direction from the old city. When I was a child to go to this market with my mother I felt like going to a shopping mall, it was so big, many things selling there and a lot of people.

Now a day this market still one of the famous shopping areas for local people, Thai tourists, and Foreigner tourist because they can find almost every things here.

Inside the market is the area of selling food. You will enjoy observing local people do shopping for local food or you can buy and try real local Thai test. You will also find some Thai dessert, dry fruit, good arabica Coffee, and tea in a package that you can buy and take it home.
